You’re going to be tempted to order everything on the menu at Have Mercy, but pace yourself, and go back a time or two to get the full experience of the southern-feel bar that will have you ready to kick your feet up. You’re eyes are going to be drawn to the neon signs, fun decor that makes you feel like you’ve stepped out of Edmonton and toe-tapping music. With something to look at in every corner, it’s gems like Have Mercy that make dinner interesting.
The menu highlights for us include: the mac and cheese, pecan pie and the fried chicken and donuts (oh, and that deliciously seasoned burger).
As per how we’ve been ordering lately, we shared an assortment of dishes from the menu between the four of us on our double date. First up? The fried chicken and donuts. We remarked on the crisp preparation of the chicken (available in two other flavours, like chile honey and nashville hot rub, on our list of things to try next time) and served with a delicious, glazed and fluffy, glazed donut underneath.
Live music every night, and an Elvis impersonator on Tuesday nights, it’s a delicious way to get out for some Southern Food and take care of that craving. You’re going to want to go back for the atmosphere, and delicious food.
