We were first introduced to Meat Street Pies last year at an event, and we’ve been putting meat in our mouth since that first try. We usually find them at the Farmer’s Market in Sherwood Park, but there are plenty of other places around the city where you can try them out.
What’s on the Menu | A variety of pies, from traditional to samosa, with hand pies that are the perfect size for sharing, averaging at about eight bucks. There are also pies that you can bring home to cook later, and get those delicious flavours for dinner, or stick it in the freezer for the next time you’re not up to making dinner and you don’t want to make a trip to the market.
The pastry is flaky, and the pies are full of flavour. Traditional, and hearty, they’re that comfort food that reminds you of something that your grandma would make you, priced to what you would expect when you’re grabbing lunch from a food truck, and filled with goodness.
Where to find Meat Street Pies | You can find Meat Street Pies at the Farmer’s Market in Sherwood Park on Wednesday nights, as well as around the city. We like to use the Streetfood App for Edmonton to find out where our favourite trucks are going to be, and see the menu posted.
