Dressing for the Derby

Women // bold and pastel coloured dresses and suits serve as traditional Derby day attire. Hats and fascinators are considered an essential part of the ensemble and high heels are always a stylish way to complete your outfit (but it’s always a good idea to pack a comfortable pair of shoes).

Men // To obtain that ideal derby look, we recommend light summer suits and sport coats, khakis or dress pants, light-colored shirts and smart, colourful neck or bow ties. Hats are key to finishing off the look.

YEGDateNight started with a way to inspire ourselves to get out of our dinner and a movie rut. We wanted to share the many things to do in Edmonton and area, with people that may or may not have been under the impression that there's nothing going on in the city. It's grown into the go to place to find out what to do in Edmonton, a space where we share date night inspiration for couples, friends and groups in Edmonton.
