Date night around the holidays is more magic than ever. Holiday lights, Christmas magic and hot chocolate make for a wonderful way to spend an evening. Here, we’re sharing some of our favourite holiday date night ideas in Edmonton.
Skate Under Christmas Lights
Skating under the lights and warming up with hot chocolate afterwards gives you a chance to get close when the date is finished. Most evenings, you’re going to have to bring the skates with you – and a thermos of hot chocolate is a good idea too. Easily accessed by transit, easy parking and the gorgeous lights make for a wonderful holiday date.
Leduc Country Lights
Just over thirty minutes outside of the city, Leduc Country Lights is one of the biggest Christmas displays outside of the city – and one of the busiest places. Choose a weeknight to visit the display, to make it a bit more romantic and decrease the amount of people there to see the lights.
Fairmont Macdonald Festive Brunch
The brunch in the ballroom is always delicious – and the festive brunch is more fun than ever. The omelette station, gorgeous decor and the chance to see the wonderful Gingerbread rendition of the Fairmont Mac are only three of the reasons that this brunch should be number one on your holiday date ideas.
Stroll through candle-lit Devonian Botanic Gardens, sip hot apple cider beside bonfires and see gorgeous ice sculptures, and listen to singers as you walk through the lit up gardens. This year, it sold out quickly – so make sure to get tickets quickly for next year.
The Singing Christmas Tree
One of our must-see events every year, the Singing Christmas Tree is a performance that has everything from comedy to holiday music, to appearances from some of your favourite local entertainers.
