5 Dates to go on in Edmonton This Weekend | August 11-13

Coffee Tasting | Saturday 1 pm
Join us for an unforgettable evening of coffee education! During this 2 to 2.5 hour course we will delve into how coffee is grown and harvested as well as how we roast and brew coffee. We will taste a variety of coffees from different regions around the world and discuss different flavour profiles and how things like acidity and body affects the way we taste and perceive coffee.

Foam Glow Race | Friday
Foam Glow™ 5k is a unique experience focused less on speed and more on Glow in the dark fun with friends and family. Glowing runners come from all different ages, shapes, sizes, and speeds; but everyone who registers to glow has the time of their life. Whether you are a long term runner or a walk around the park stroller, the 3 miles of the Foam Glow™ course will have you shining bright and waiting for the next run.

Perseids Meteor Pajama Party | Friday, 8:30 pm
Bring your blanket or lawn chair, wear your cozy pyjamas and look up, way up, during one of the busiest times in the night sky. Stargazing with the Royal Astronomical Society, fun-in-the-dark family games, bedtime stories and more.

Tip // wondering where else to watch from? Find a Dark Sky preserve – and get the best show between 8:30 pm and 11 pm.

Plant Trees at Hermitage Park | Saturday, 10 am
Cityscapes is a monthly outdoor event with an experiential educational component. This month, participants will have the opportunity to get in touch with the city’s natural landscape, help to grow Edmonton’s urban forest, and learn about the province’s agriculture and economy.

Hold on to your butts, we’re doing Jurassic Park Trivia at the Buckingham and giving away an INFLATABLE DINOSAUR COSTUME to the top team! We’ve spared no expense! So get your herd together for trivia on all 4 movies (and maybe some dinosaurs too). Doors open at 3, Trivia at 4 (you Clever Girls and Guys should get here early). Food and Drink on specials! YEGDateNight Team

YEGDateNight started with a way to inspire ourselves to get out of our dinner and a movie rut. We wanted to share the many things to do in Edmonton and area, with people that may or may not have been under the impression that there's nothing going on in the city. It's grown into the go to place to find out what to do in Edmonton, a space where we share date night inspiration for couples, friends and groups in Edmonton.
