Taking dinner a movie outside during the summer months is something you’ve got to try. There’s something romantic about being huddled in blankets, watching a movie on a big screen outdoors. Here are five outdoor movies you can watch in Edmonton, in August –
Movies on the Square is back for another season, bringing you movies every Tuesday night in Edmonton at Churchill Square. Come early to claim your spot, bring a picnic dinner or grab food from one of the nearby restaurants or food trucks.
This one is a drive in class, as part of the Spruce Grove Cruise event happening in Spruce Grove. It’s a drive in movie that starts right after the fireworks – and is something that just made it to the top of our to-do list, this year. Free Drive In Movie, speakers for lawn chair seating, and FM transmitter for sitting in the Car. Takes place right after the Fireworks which start at 9:15pm
Get a blanket and bundle up for a movie in the garden. It’s date night, and an outdoor movie is included with your admission, as part of this date night in Edmonton. Admission begins at 6 pm, and the movie starts at dusk. The event is expected to last until midnight.
The movie is not yet announced for the last movies on the square of the season, but it’s the perfect time to get outside and grab a but of picnic or some food from one of the local nearby restaurants. Bring your lawn chairs, and extra blankets as it gets a little cold once the sun goes down!
